After almost a year of suggesting it, and my dad saying, “it’s unreliable and pretentious, but maybe I’ll drive one eventually,” we finally went and looked at this 2007 Sport Supercharged at our local Porsche dealer. It had 70k miles, and the dealer offered us an excellent bumper to bumper 6 year warranty for a few hundred a year. My dad was smitten, as was I. If this car is still at the dealer in 60 days, it might just end up in our driveway. And that would be an even bigger turn of events than him accepting a BMW.

I hope your dad is a level headed man - otherwise he is gonna beat your ass when it is in the shop once a month
70K on a used Land Rover - get that man a Tahoe and save your hide

He knows full well about the reliability. Not my problem.
As for the Tahoe? Heckler no.

As far as I am concerned a Diesel Range Rover is the best car on Earth, so I support this decision for the most part.

They don’t sell diesel ones here. And it would probably be slower than what we want, otherwise that would be a good choice. He likes the diesel touaregs.

My parents had an LR4 that got up to about 120,000 miles without a single major problem.
I think over the course of its life, it needed one turn signal bulb, one lock actuator, and one of the front parking sensors popped out.
